Created for the knights that serve as cavalry for the Aquilonian army, this shield is emblazoned with the lion symbol of Aquilonia. The lion is a symbol of nation, while the golden snake is the symbol of the current ruling family, lead by Namedides.
It is said that when the sun shines upon the shields of the Aquilonian infantry, the light blinds the enemy with its magnificence, causing arrows to miss their mark and cavalry to rear back in fear.
