How to change the FOV in Conan Exiles.[1][2]
Please note:
- High FOV (70+) may result in fisheye distortion. Even higher FOV (200+) may result in shaking (epilepsy warning!).
- If you lower your FOV you will have less to render and will likely get more fps.[3] Too low FOV, however, may result in nausea.
Controls[]
Main article: Controls
Settings[]
You can find two FOV sliders in the video settings (Settings > Video)
- Horizontal FOV
- Vertical FOV
Ultrawide[]
Recommended settings[4]
- Vertical: 74
- This automatically makes horizontal 90.3.
Game.ini[]
You can edit Game.ini to go beyond the in-game limit of 75.
\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini
For example, FoV=150
.
Mods[]
- Greater Camera Distance by Kharzette.
- Allows the vanity and third person cameras to zoom out to 30 meters.
Notes[]
- The horizontal FOV is tied to the vertical one.[5]
- An option to remove screen shake was in the game in early access, but removed by the developers in a subsequent patch.[6] It is still on the internal suggestions list, but it is uncertain if it will be added, as it has low priority.[7] If you are experiencing screen shake (as an issue) on PC with any FOV, there are mods which should remove screen shake.
