Because of their relative isolation beyond the Mountains of Night, the peoples of the West imagine Khitai as a peaceful nation, untouched by the chaotic wars that regularly engulf the kingdoms of the West. The reality is, however, that any country with smiths capable of creating a weapon that looks like this is no stranger to war and violence.
The javelin is one of the most versatile weapons of the Hyborian age.
It is light enough to be thrown with some degree of accuracy. Enemies fleeing a battle are almost always surprised to find three feet of spear jutting from between their shoulder blades.
