The Midnight Grove is where you learn the Jhebbal sag religion path, the sixth and final religion in Conan Exiles. You have to traverse a labyrinthian maze, facing down many dangers along your path before you make it to the end and discover the final challenge: Jhebbal Sag’s champion.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Midnight Grove is a dungeon in Conan Exiles. It is uniquely related to Jhebbal Sag. Defeating the Werewolf Impisi and consuming its Icon flesh of passage.png Flesh of Remembrance will give you the knowledge of Jhebbal Sag's altars and religious items. Follower of Jhebbal Sag are all about controlling and hunting beasts. Special Icon skinning dagger JhebbalSag.png Blood Letter knives allows them to extract Icon blood.png Blood from their victims and sacrifice it to their bloodthirsty master.

Location[edit | edit source]

This dungeon can be entered by drinking a Icon potion of midnight.png Potion of Midnight that can be learned from Child of Jhebbal Sag as well as bought from him for Icon raw stringy meat.png Feral Flesh.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • When you die in the Midnight Grove, you may respawn at the beginning of the dungeon. No need to drink another Icon potion of midnight.png Potion of Midnight.
  • Be warned, your corpse with all of your loot will be locked behind whatever doors you have unlocked along the way, meaning once you die you will need more weapons and armor to get back to your corpse. (Depending on server settings.)
  • If you choose to respawn in the Midnight Grove, all npcs and bosses will respawn. Locking all doors previously opened.
  • When you exit the Midnight Grove, you will spawn on an isle at Sepermeru, Waterside Teleportplayer -236909 80243 -4278, no matter where you were when you entered.

Brother of the Night[edit | edit source]

The Brother of the Night is a Greater Panther with more HP but fights the same way as a normal one.

Brother of the Moon[edit | edit source]

The Brother of the Moon (Child of Gullah) is a Silverback Gorilla like the one in the Forgotten City of Xel-ha.

Brother of the Mists[edit | edit source]

The Brother of the Mists is a Bull located on a lower platform where you need to drop down or shoot with Bow and Arrow from above.

Brother of the Blood[edit | edit source]

The Brother of the Blood is a Werewolf, the fully transmuted beast Impisi himself.

Jhebbal Sag has several lines of dialog for you while exploring the Midnight Grove.

While exploring the Grove[edit | edit source]

You have come, child.
Your name was whispered in my ear by the loon
which is messenger to the Four Brothers of the Night.
Once, all living things worshipped me. But they forget.
Even the beasts forget. Each path is the path of remembrance.
This my sacred grove where only a chosen few dare to walk.
The old blood sings in your heart, child. Hear the song.
These were once men, like you.
But they did not hear the song. They chose poorly and insulted one of my children.
Once men and beasts spoke the same language.
In praise of me, they howled to the night sky. Each step will bring you closer, whatever the choise.
Sacrifice them to me!

Hence comes a challenger - whose people dared to show you a yoke.

Prologue Brother of the Blood[edit | edit source]

Brother of the Blood, awaken!
A challenger come who seeks to control you. To understand you.
To become you. Show them the blood-lust. The heart-rend.

After defeating Impisi[edit | edit source]

Good, challenger, good. You are worthy.
Consume the spoils of your victory. Once men and beast shared their flesh and their hunts.
So shall it be with you, a Chosen of Jhebbal Sag.

Farewell[edit | edit source]

The beast lives within, child. Remember.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

We were concerned about how players would interact with each other as well as loading screens when coming into the dungeon. To get into the instance, you need to drink a potion which makes you wake up in the Midnight Grove. The initial idea was have the player drink the potion and dream-float down from the sky and as they’re doing that, they can look down to the ground so they have a moment or two to orientate and focus. This obviously didn’t make it in unfortunately due to allocating resources to other parts of the dungeon.

The flow of the whole dungeon. It feels natural how it’s structured. The player has the choice to go through different paths and encounter different enemies. You can choose which animals you fight better against.
