Description

Derketo is a fertility goddess and she is worshipped for her ability to grant bounteous crops and good calving seasons. Her rituals, however, involved deviant orgies that can last for weeks and include necrophilia and bestiality.

Her places of worship are therefore chosen for comfort, style, and the freeing of inhibitions. They are places where life and death intertwine like a pair of lovers. Those who visit the pleasure places of Derketo are reminded what it is to live and die - and how pleasurable both can be.
