No apologies necessary :) We all went through a learning curve and until I look at some specifics, I can't provide an easy answer to your anomalies. What I can do, however, is lead you through the sequence of events stemming from a page edit to the result of a cargo query. On the left of any screen, find special tools under the tools section. Scroll down to the cargo section and select cargo tables, then view the table of choice. These tables are populated via entries in the infobox through special code. Each change (if there is a corresponding field) will be reflected there. Drilldown may be easier to see your changes. If your changes do not appear, or appear in a different field than you expect, that may be the source of your issues. You may also want to view (not change) the infobox template in edit source mode for an example of how the code populates the datatable. Pages that use cargo queries require a purge or a purge cache to force the population and may not be immediately available, for some unknown reason. I have run into the same thing only to find the process behaves properly after some undefined time. Could you give me some specific examples to view? Regards jim

No screenshots necessary, I have had the same experience. Changing the name of a page is done through the 'Move' command under More, but I recommend a bit more experience with the wiki nuances first. It can create problems that are hard to overcome. Have you joined the Wiki Discord yet?

Idk I'm on a couple. There isn't one linked on the site that I could find.

I forgot to add my handle there is Jim1. The link you want is Fan-made Discord. Please feel free to DM me anytime for any reason :)

Thank you for your help. It's appreciated.

Hi, Sapphire, thanks for the good info edited into the Wiki, it's appreciated. I would like to point out a button at the bottom of the edit page, Preview, which allows you to view the page prior to saving it. Using that would minimize the edits that must be patrolled and help reduce the time required for those that must perform the Patrol function. Keep up the good work !

Thank you. Respectfully, I am aware of the preview button and do use it all the time, however, a number of things would explain the amount of edits. Besides me just getting used to the format and/or just forgetting to add something I meant to, I've had particular frustration with the tables that other pages have used not filling with the proper information as they should so I have been trying to go back and forth with that to see what the problem is.

For example: whenever I would edit my Legendary Bosses page and save, the creature column only would go completely blank. I would refresh the page, clear my cache, check another browser, and the column would still be blank with the rest of the info still in the other columns, I would then go back into the edit and click preview and the creatures would be there again in the column and I would save and sometimes it would take this time or I would sometimes have to do it again but it would eventually take.

Another example: The Elite page uses a different table that I also couldn't get to work for me: {{QueryTableCreaturesByGroup|Elite}} But I just added info to the Black Child of Jhil, which is also an Elite, but wasn't on that Elite table. I categorized it as an Elite and grouped it in the CreatureInfoBox as an Elite just like the other creatures that are listed on that table, and yet the Black Jhil still doesn't show up on the Elite page and I don't understand why. If someone could help me in these regards, it would probably lead to less edits overall.

I do apologize if I've made more work for people. It wasn't my intention. I wasn't aware that someone had to look over every edit.

Mini Bosses and Elites are not the same thing. Yes, it is somewhat confusing, especially when Funcom themselves toss around the word mini boss haphazardly, but that does not change the fact that they are not the same thing. It may be easier to think of mini bosses as a category of which elites are one aspect: All elites are mini bosses, not all mini bosses are elites.

Also, "Legendary" does not mean three skulls. Not every three-skulled boss is a legendary creature. Legendary creatures are those that drop skeleton keys.

Avatar for Sapphirebeach

I guess I'm just not understanding how or why these are distinguished? So a 3 skull creature that drops legendary items instead of a skeleton key that opens a chest that has legendary items isn't a legendary creature? Legendary Creatures that drop skeleton keys seem to typically range from about 18-20K HP, while something like the Red Mother (30K) and The Gravewalker (26K) does not drop skeleton keys, but are more difficult and do drop legendary items. So what would we distinguish these creatures as that are more difficult to beat than legendary creatures?

And how do you distinguish "elites" from regular mini bosses? What makes them elite? The spawn ID of the corrupted ones that were reverted are just Wildlife_Miniboss. The Elk King has more HP than the Black Kappa, the Black Rhino has more than the Corrupted Grey Ape. So, if the distinctions are not in terms of difficulty, than what makes some elite? I'm just trying to get a clear understanding in my head.

"Legendary Creatures" used to be the only source for legendary items. Now the game hands out legendary items like pieces of candy. That change in gameplay doesn't really change the meaning of the words though.

Elites are a super variant of a normal creature that have a 2% chance to spawn instead of their regular variant. If a miniboss always spawns in a specific location, it is not an Elite. As far as I am aware, no additional Elites have been added to the game since their first introduction, while mini bosses keep getting added all the time.
