Most humble of materials and most common, stone is the building block of civilization. From the primitive weapons of Picts to the marble sheathed palaces of Aquilonian Kings, stone is the foundation upon which all is predicated. Even the elder races, who vanished from the earth without a trace, left behind great ruined cities of brooding stone to mark their passing.

Stones are largely scattered around the desert. Stones can be found on the ground and can either be picked up or harvested using tools, such as a Stone Pick or more efficiently with a higher grade pickaxes such as the Iron Pick or the Steel Pick. Each pick will yield a different amount of stone, as indicate in the following table:
