The status effects in Conan Exiles. Each section header in the list redirects to its own page.

Temperature buffs do not stack, they replace each other, except for Water Cooling.[1]

List of status effects[edit | edit source]

Bleeding[edit | edit source]

Main article: Bleeding


T BuffIconBleed.png Bleeding deals damage to a character for 10 seconds. Each time bleed is applied, the timer resets. Can stack up to 20 times and its damage ignores armor.

Building[edit | edit source]

Main article: Building


T BuffIconInside.png The sheltered status effect indicates that your character has some form of cover from weather effects, reducing the impact of hot, or cold weather. Being sheltered also provides cover from the sandstorm.

Cold[edit | edit source]

Main article: Cold


T BuffIconCold.png The cold status icon will appear when your character is cold.

Cooling down[edit | edit source]

Main article: Cooling down


T BuffIconChillingUp.png The cooling down status icon will appear when your character was hot or overheated and cooling down.

Corruption[edit | edit source]

Main article: Corruption


T BuffIconCorruption.png Corruption reduces your maximum Health and Stamina the more time you spend in a corrupted area or fighting a corrupted enemy. The status persists after death and can only be removed by being in the presence of an Entertainer Thrall or by consuming the Heart of a Hero.

Crippled[edit | edit source]

Dehydration[edit | edit source]

Main article: Dehydration


T BuffIconThirst.png A character has become dehydrated and needs to drink something urgently. Whilst suffering from dehydration you will gradually take damage.

Drunk[edit | edit source]

Main article: Drunk


T BuffIconDrunk.png When drunk the player get adds +3 to Strength and +3 to Vitality. As a side effect, the player will see very blurry, getting a T BuffIconHungover.png Headache and rapidly become thirsty because of T BuffIconPoisoned.png alcohol poisoning.

Encumbered[edit | edit source]

Main article: Encumbered


T BuffIconEncumberance T1.png Being overweight by carrying too much will lead to the encumbered effect. Movement will be slowed to a walk and any action will take large amounts of stamina. "Why am I carrying all of this stone?"

Entertained[edit | edit source]

Main article: Entertained


T BuffIconEntertained.png A character becomes entertained when standing close to an Entertainer Thrall to remove corruption.

Exhausted[edit | edit source]

Main article: Exhausted


A character becomes exhausted when all of their stamina is depleted. Exhausted character can no longer attack, dodge, jump, climb, or block. If you are in the middle of climbing, you will fall.

Frostbite[edit | edit source]

Main article: Frostbite


T BuffIconFrostbite.png The frostbite status icon will appear when your character is too cold. Whilst suffering from frostbite you will gradually take damage.

Headache[edit | edit source]

T BuffIconHungover.png A character will get a headache after drinking alcoholic brews. A headache causes the character to rapidly become T BuffIconThirst.png thirsty.

Healing[edit | edit source]

Main article: Healing


T BuffIconHealing.png The healing status icon will appear when your character is healing.

Heatstroke[edit | edit source]

Main article: Heatstroke


T BuffIconHeatstrike.png The Heatstroke status icon will appear when your character is too hot. Whilst suffering from heatstroke you will gradually take damage.

Hot[edit | edit source]

T BuffIconHot.png The hot status icon will appear when your character is getting hot.

Poisoned[edit | edit source]

Main article: Poisoned


T BuffIconPoison.png Whilst affected by the poisoned debuff, your character will gradually take damage from the poison. Beware as further application of poison will increase the number of stacks of this debuff and increase the damage taken.

Sandstorm[edit | edit source]

Main article: Sandstorm


T BuffIconSandstorm.png Your character is in an area that is affected by the Sandstorm. Whilst suffering from sandstorm you will gradually take damage, unless you are sheltered or wearing a Icon sandstorm mask.png Sandstorm Breathing Mask (T BuffIconSandstormMask.png).

Soothing[edit | edit source]

Main article: Soothing


T BuffIconRegeneration T1.png Keeping a neutral body temperature (between cold and hot) grants the Soothing health regeneration buff.[1]

Starving[edit | edit source]

Main article: Starving


T BuffIconHunger.png Your character has run out of food and needs to eat something urgently. Whilst suffering from starvation you will gradually take damage.

Sunder[edit | edit source]

Main article: Sunder


T BuffIconSundered.png Reduces the armor of the character it is upon by 10%. Can stack up to 5 times.

Very Cold[edit | edit source]

Main article: Very Cold


T BuffIconVeryCold.png The very cold status icon will appear when your character is freezing.

Very Hot[edit | edit source]

T BuffIconVeryHot.png The very hot status icon will appear when your character is overheating.

Water Breathing[edit | edit source]

Warming up[edit | edit source]

T BuffIconWarmingUp.png The warming up status icon will appear when your character was cold or freezing and warming up.
