The elevator is placed at the top of the shaft and a landing pad is automatically placed directly below its location. The landing pad can attach to terrain/foundations up to 32 foundations below it. The elevator can be called to the top/bottom by pressing the 'use' key on the metal skull hanging from a chain. While standing on the elevator, it can be triggered to move by pressing 'use' on the lever.
