“ | 'No man living could throw that rock across this glade. It's a task for siege engines. Yet here there are no mangonels or ballistas.' | „ |

In the so-called civilized kingdoms of Hyboria, nobles build great palaces with walls of mighty stone to protect themselves from their enemies at court and abroad.
The solution to sturdy walls and cowardly nobility is the steadfast trebuchet. A machine of immense power, the trebuchet can be used to fling stones, corpses and even specially designed explosives. Their weakness is their immobility, they cannot be easily moved once placed and finding the correct range and angle requires time and patience. With repeated use, it is almost certain that some or all of the pieces of the trebuchet will degrade and need to be replaced.
Notes
“ | Want the ability to lay siege to the stronghold of your enemies and bombard them from a great distance by firing heavy boulders, explosive ammunition or even rotting corpses? The powerful trebuchet will let you bring down your enemy’s defenses before storming their keep, or force them out from hiding as their well-crafted walls come crashing down.
The trebuchet is a complex siege weapon though, and it will be both costly to make and cumbersome to transport. Once you have set it up you must guard it well, or a rapid counterattack from the enemy may destroy your valuable war machine before you even get to fire a single shot. |
